JEDDAH: The Jeddah Municipality has carried out 3,839 field tours to ensure that establishments are abiding by preventive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The field teams intensified their tours on Sunday to ensure compliance with the immunization requirement for entering commercial establishments.
The municipality carried out 3,839 tours, closing six commercial facilities that were violating the preventive measures. Field teams recorded 15 violations within 19 sub-municipalities and 15 governorate municipalities.
The municipality urged people to report any violations on the number 940 or through the Balady application, stressing that efforts are being made to ensure measures are followed, limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Authorities have warned that unvaccinated employees within the Saudi public, private, and nonprofit sectors will have their leave days deducted until they receive a COVID-19 jab.
The ministry issued a statement clarifying procedures to deal with unvaccinated employees following the Ministry of Interior’s instruction for institutions to limit entry to vaccinated people after Aug 1.
